Aix\u00f2 vol dir que, davant d&#8217;una situaci\u00f3 en la qual s&#8217;excedeix l&#8217;acceleraci\u00f3 lateral m\u00e0xima suportada pel vehicle (per exemple en el tra\u00e7at d&#8217;un tram corb per sobre de la velocitat cr\u00edtica de la corba), el seu comportament esperat \u00e9s que se\u2019n &#8220;vagi &#8220;del tren davanter i no del de \u00a0darrere. Aquest comportament s&#8217;aconsegueix a partir d&#8217;un correcte disseny de la carrosseria i sobretot mitjan\u00e7ant el correcte disseny i ajustament del xass\u00eds del vehicle. El xass\u00eds d&#8217;un vehicle modern est\u00e0 composat b\u00e0sicament pels elements que fins ara es coneixien com <i>la massa no suspesa<\/i>, entre ells les rodes. El disseny d&#8217;un vehicle es realitza considerant que aquest equipar\u00e0 neum\u00e0tics amb la mateixa capacitat d&#8217;adher\u00e8ncia en tots dos eixos i l&#8217;ajustament del sistema per aconseguir el comportament desitjat s&#8217;aconsegueix variant par\u00e0metres com la caiguda, l&#8217;angle de sortida, la converg\u00e8ncia, l&#8217;avan\u00e7, etc &#8230; de les rodes de cada eix. De la mateixa manera s&#8217;utilitzen sistemes com ara el repartidor de frenada per evitar que, independentment de la c\u00e0rrega del vehicle,\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-size: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-size ); font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight );\">mai no\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-size: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-size ); font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight );\">s&#8217;arribi a bloquejar l&#8217;eix posterior abans que l&#8217;anterior durant una maniobra de frenada, per evitar aquest comportament sobrevirador no desitjat; o b\u00e9 l&#8217;ESP (Control d&#8217;estabilitat) que corregeix aquests comportaments en la mesura del possible un cop ja s&#8217;han produ\u00eft.
